On July 16, 1969, Saturn V lifted off from Kennedy Space Center carrying Apollo 11 toward the Moon. This self-initiated CGI project is a tribute to the scale of its engineering, the force of the launch and the ambition of a mission that changed history.

Challenge

To capture the scale and complexity of Saturn V through a cinematic, retro-inspired visual language. The project combines technical details, a breakdown of the rocket’s stages and an illustrated interpretation of its launch.

Results

A complete CGI exploration of Saturn V that moves between technical documentation, cinematic imagery and graphic illustration. The final film reveals the rocket piece by piece before bringing it back together for the launch, creating a contemporary visual tribute to the machine that carried Apollo 11 toward the Moon. A machine built on Earth. A journey to the Moon.
